My Unforgettable Year by debut author, Adem Besim is a powerfully written, highly emotive story told in the first person, present tense voice of a seventeen-year-old boy. How much editing can you do without taking away the authentic voice of the teen?

We were very careful not to get too carried away with grammar, as we know most people don’t speak correctly most of the time.
